IPAF - The International Powered Access Federation is a body whose function is to promote the safe and effective use of powered access on a worldwide basis. IPAF was founded in 1983 as a non-profit organisation. IPAF represents the interests of manufacturers, users, rental and training companies and distributors.
The training programme for platform operators
conforms to ISO 18878 is certified by TÜV.
With more than 80,000 operators trained each year IPAF operates through a network of more than 330 training centres worldwide.
When successful, trainees are awarded a Powered Access Licence - the PAL Card, which is the most recognised and highly regarded proof of training for access platform operatives.
As an IPAF member you can enjoy access to advice, information, insurance and even foreign language translation services. You will also have the opportunity to influence legislation and regulations that govern the use of lifting platforms.
